Committees
A) Curriculum Committee:
The aim of curriculum committee shall be to approve new & revised curriculum and academic policies to ensure compliance with Maharashtra Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council. In addition, curriculum committee also provides guidance and oversight to ensure that all curriculums is sound, comprehensive and responsive to evolving needs of our student and their academic & overall development.
Objectives:
- Evaluate the process of management in the provision of nursing care.
- Collaborate with health team members in designing and implementing comprehensive care.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the performance of standard nursing procedures.
- Synthesize the principles of biological, physical and social sciences in order to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
- Utilize opportunities and resources for personal and professional growth.
- Be responsible for all educational processes.
- Provide oversight on the educational activities of the nursing college.
- Ensure continuous quality improvement in nursing education.
- Plan, implement and evaluate curricular development and faculty development in the nursing college in alignment with the INC/ MNC.
- Ensure curriculum development through the curriculum committee.
- Ensure faculty development by conducting Faculty development programs and workshops through the Faculty development committee.
- Sensitive and facilitate Information and Communication technology integration in the Nursing curriculum.
- Facilitate educational research through projects, research publication.
- Keep the Nursing College updated of the current trends in nursing education by conducting journal clubs, workshops and conferences.
- Provide an education platform for national and international networking and collaboration.

B) Vishaka Committee
Objectives :
- To fulfill the directive of the supreme court, as per UGC directives in respect of implementing a policy against sexual harassment in the institution.
- To evolve a mechanism for the prevention and redressel of sexual harassment cases and other acts of gender based violence in the institution.
- To ensure the implementation of the policy in letter and spirit through proper reporting of the complaints and their follow-up procedures.
- To provide an environment free of gender based discrimination.
- To ensure equal access of all facilities and participation in activities of the college.
- To create a secure physical and social environment this will deter acts of sexual harassment.
- To promote a social and psychological environment that will raise awareness about sexual harassment in its various forms.

Role Of Committee:
1. Preventive Role
- To create and ensure a safe environment for women that is free of sexual harassment.
- To create an atmosphere promoting equality and gender justice
- To develop a policy for prevention of Sexual Harassment
- To publicise names & contact numbers of responsible persons who can be contacted when required.
- To plan and carry out programs for gender sensitisation.
2.Remedial Role
- Should have mechanism of registering complaints i.e. safe . Assessable and sensitive.
- To take cognisance of complaints about sexual harassment, conduct enquires, provide assistance, explore conciliation and redressal to the victims and recommend action
- To recommend to the concerned authorities follow up.
- To advise the disciplinary authority concerned to issue warnings and take the role of the law to stop the harasser. If the complaint consents
- To make arrangements for appropriate psychological, emotional and physical support in the form of counselling. Security and other assistances to the victim if she desires.
C) Grievance Committee
AIM:
To Encourage the Student to express their Grievance / Problems in and outside of the institute.
OBJECTIVES:
- Uploading the dignity of the institution by ensuring strife free atmosphere in the institute through promoting cordial student relationship and student.
- To support those student who have been deprived of the services for which he/ she is entitled.
- To make teaching & supporting staff Responsive, Accountable, Courteous in detailing with students.
- To ensure effective solution to the student Grievance with an impartial &fair approach
- Encouraging the student to express their grievance /Problems freely & frankly without any fear of being victimized.
- Advising the students to respect the right of one another and slow restraint & patience whenever any occasion arises.
- In unfair means.
- Advising the students to refrain from inciting students against other students or teachers and institute administration.
- Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited I outside of the institute.
C) Guidance & Counselling Committee
AIM:
To help the student to understand & accept themselves as they are.
OBJECTIVES:
- To provide guidance to the students on various options available in the course of their study.
- To identifying & developing student's abilities and interests.
- To give the student information on matters important to success.
- To get information about student this will be of help in solving his /her problems.
- To establish a feeling of mutual understanding between student and teacher.
- To develop positive attitude and behaviour in order to meet challenges.
- To help the students to know himself /herself better his/ her interests, abilities, aptitudes, opportunities.
- To encourage and develop special abilities & right attitudes.
- To inspire successful endeavour toward attainment.
- To assist the student in planning for educational & vocational choices.
D) Student Counselling Cell
Aim :
Aims at helping students reach their heighest academic & personal potential.
Objectives :
To help the students become self actualizing.
- To help students deal with relationship problems, feelings of anxiety and depression, substance use issues, family some help coping with it all.
- To help students deal with relationship problems and serious personal crises .Students may be experiencing such as grief & loss or sexual assault.
- To help students a safe, supportive & accepting environment.
- To help students clarify issues, provide support & guidance, and work towards solution.
- To help nursing students in establishing proper identity.
- To help them to develop a positive attitude towards life.
- To help to overcome periods of turmoil & confusion.
- To help students in developing their leadership qualities.
- To motivate them for taking membership in professional organizations after competing their studies.
- Helps them to make a advantages of technological advancement in a patient care.
- Helps them to readiness for changes & face challenges.
- To carryout responsibilities as a health team member
- Helps them to proper selection of career
- Helps individual to develop ability to solve problems & take decision.
- To develop self awareness & to overcome problems
- To encourage & develop special abilities & right attitudes.
- To establish a feeling of mutual understanding between student & teacher.
E) Research Committee
Objectives :
Promote an organizational culture that values and supports nursing research.
Create and foster mechanisms to assist, celebrate and sustain research among nurses who provide direct patient care through mentoring and open communication using a variety of channels.
Establish and maintain academic and other internal and external linkages and nursing partnerships
Develop strategies to provide the pursuit, application and dissemination of research / evidence-based nursing practice
Support a continuum of research activities including defining, sharing and using research findings
Policies of institute research committee :
The college promotes faculty participation in conducting research through research and ethical committee.
- Faculties are given leave facilities and seed money for conducting research studies.
- Providing research facilities such as laboratories, equipment, patients, hospital, investigation, library facilities and computer lab with internet facilities.
- The college conducts periodical conferences, seminars,symposiums, journal clubs, workshops and guest lecture related to research and statistics.
- The college encourages and facilitates the students and staff to attend the conferences, seminars , symposiums, journal clubs, workshops and guest lecture within and outside of the country.
- The college recognizes and appreciates the faculty and students by awards and financial assistance for best research projects and papers published in Journals on appropriate platforms.
- Number of scientific articles published in indexed journals adds weightage during promotion.

F) ETHICS COMMITTEE
Institutional Ethics Committee, Ganpatrao Adke College of Nursing constituted for discussion and approval of institutional/ collaborative research projects with respect to safeguard dignity right safety and well being of all research participants and to ensure that the research is carried under prescribed guidelines.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES :
- To ensure the competent review and evaluation of all ethical aspects of research projects received in an objective manner.

- To conduct scientific evaluation and ensure technical appropriateness of the proposed study.
- To ensure that universal ethical values and international scientific standards are expressed in terms of local community values and customs.

G) ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES :
- To Provide a Forum For the old students of the college to meet and discuss the matters of common interest.

- Provide assistance to the various components of the university.
- To promote the interest of the college and its past and present students.

Committee is formed to maintain discipline and to air grievances at the hostel of the college.
